Today we had someone come in from the Byrnes Health Center. We learned about what "color" personality we have and that everyone is different. We learned about bullying too and what to do if you see it happening. We also made different sized triangles in math out of straws and twist-ties. We had to measure each side and figure out the perimeter.
See you next time,
Jack and Cash
From Mrs. S.:
We had a busy start to our short week! The students continued to practice calculating the perimeter of shapes they created. Our Unit 3 math test will occur early next week. We are waiting on everyone to be finished their Unit 2 math boxes for those grade sheets and tests to be sent home to be signed.
In Science, we have continued to complete fun experiments and the students are becoming very good at completing the steps of the scientific method. Our Science test will occur Friday, and we will switch back to Social Studies on Monday.
In Writing, we are learning about the different kinds of sentences and how they can be used in our writing pieces.
Check out some of our students working with manipulatives to create and measure triangles with different perimeters, and playing math games with partners:
Thanks for all you do!
Mrs. Slessinger
